How to install shade net?
Here are the basic steps to install a shade net:
1.Prepare the site – Clear any debris and level the area where the net will be installed.
2.Install poles – Place sturdy poles made of PVC, wood or metal at intervals around the perimeter and interior.
3.Attach guy wires (optional) – Use guy wires and stakes to further secure tall poles prone to swaying.
4.Lay out the net – Unroll the netting and drape it over the poles, pulling it taut but not too tight.
5.Attach top edges – Tie or clip the top edge of the net securely to tops of poles all around.
6.Attach bottom edges – Bury the bottom 6-12 inches of netting and secure with stakes.
7.Adjust tension if needed – Use turnbuckles on guy wires to achieve proper tension across net.
8.Install maintenance access – Include zippered doors or roll-up sides for easy access.
9.Reinforce corners – Add extra poles at corners and X-bracing if using lighter duty netting.
10.Inspect for flaws – Check installation and test tugging netting before planting. Repair any holes.
Proper tensioning and secure installation is key for the net to withstand weather and last for years of use.
